Exploring the human condition is central to my art practice. It is the reality of suffering and the strength of healing that I am endlessly fascinated by.

I practice this in my art process by creating many beautiful layers, only to then cover them up again, asking myself, ‘what happens if’ . In this space I am acutely aware of the self-criticism I hold, not allowing for things that are unknown or uncomfortable. I am practicing self acceptance and tolerance of allowing life to unfold it it’s natural state.

Only in fits of scratching through and wiping away freshly applied paint, am I able to get closer to embracing imperfection - my own imperfection.
